About JZ Music

Over the last decade no other company or organization has been more instrumental in the growth of live music and jazz in Shanghai than JZ. A major player in all aspects of China’s growing music industry, every year JZ Music showcases big international names at Shanghai’s largest outdoor music festival - the JZ Festival Shanghai, a public music festival - JZ Spring and a music competition for music lovers – Love My Music competition. JZ Music owns four live music venues, JZ Club, Wooden Box Café, JZ latino and On Stage in Shanghai, which are widely known as China’s top live music venues. Besides located in Shanghai, JZ Club had spread into Hangzhou ten years ago and now located in Wuhan and Dalian. And On Stage which focuses on music & lifestyle also has a branch in Shenzhen. Regular live concerts and tours featuring some of the biggest names are hold in many cities of China. JZ Music contributes jazz education through JZ School. It also produces jazz records and owns some top jazz artists now including jazz singers Coco Zhao, Jonas Seetoh, Jade Lee and jazz players Lawrence Ku, Peng Fei, Toby Mak, Li Xiaochuan and Huang Jianyi. JZ Festival has become the biggest jazz music festival in China, and also the second biggest one in Asia. There will be more and more possibilities about JZ Music.


About JZ FESTIVAL

Since their inception in 2004, JZ Music has organized thousands of music events across China featuring the biggest names in the local and international jazz community. And the most influential event is JZ Festival. For 11 years, JZ Festival has been recognized as the biggest jazz festival in China and the second biggest jazz festival in Asia. The core of it is jazz. But it covers many other music elements such as folk, pop, rock, electronic etc., which shows the spirit of jazz – improvisation and fusion. Plenty of international top musicians performed in JZ Festival, including Joss Stone, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Ron Carter, Kenny Garrett, Dianna Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater and so on. Chinese famous music artists include Sandy Lam, Karen Mok, Cui Jian, Chang Csun Yuk, Mavis Fan etc. Since 2013, JZ Festival has been hold in Beijing, Guangzhou, Dalian and Chongqing not just in home court Shanghai.
